You’re something out of a dream
Messin’ with my head
And I’ve been looking for you
Are you hiding?
This is one of those songs I came across last year and somehow let it slip from my grasps, then recently the lyrics “my girl’s a switchblade, a bright light on a cityscape, wherever she goes, I’m going to chase,” popped in my head and for an hour I madly hunted for this enchanting tune by (the, then known as) Les Enfants. There is some mystery shrouding the band, for example no real SoundCloud presence and the eventual realization that ‘they’ are now known as Ezra Vine. Luckily some worthy fan/station uploaded Celeste onto SoundCloud so we can share all it’s glory here with you!
The track is beautiful, reminding me of some sort of charming innocence one finds in children or the warmth we experience by loving others. Call me sentimental but this tune evokes wonderful emotions and let me not forget to mention, the entirety of the lyrical content in this song is just gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous.
Here’s a Tumblr page for Ezra Vine and a Facebook page.
